ESTECO is glad to sponsor the 2019 ASHRAE Building Performance Analysis Conference that takes place on Sept. 25-27, 2019 in Denver, CO, USA.

The goal of this conference is to promote networking and present new techniques and workflows that practitioners make better decisions during the simulation and modeling process of an entire building life cycle.

The technical program will feature more than 60 presentations by leading industry practitioners and academic researchers.

On 24th September we are going to have a 3-hour workshop with the following details:

Title: Increase the Value of Simulation and Data-Driven Decision Making with modeFRONTIER
Time: 1 pm to 4 pm

Instructors: Ansley Barnard, Nachiket Kasarekar from ESTECO

This workshop will explore two topics:

1)      Automate your decision-making process by integrating your existing simulation and analysis tools in a modeFRONTIER workflow.  Gain further insight by running a DOE or optimization.  We’ll explore an example in modeFRONTIER and optimize an apartment energy model with integration to EnergyPlus.

2)      Train data with machine learning techniques.  Create a Response Surface Model (RSM) to aid decision making or replace a time-consuming analysis.  We’ll explore an example by training sensor and geometry data from existing buildings to predict building thermal loads.

Attendees will be provided a free demo license, demo project files and data to keep exploring after the workshop

On Wednesday 25 September, ESTECO will present at the conference with the seminar Energy Refurbishment Optimization Under Uncertainties For Social Housing Building.
