From 19 to 23 June 2022, we're going to attend the 14th International Symposium on Process Systems Engineering, together with AVEVA and IDAJ.
The conference is going to be focused on Smart & Sustainable Society perspectives and has the aim of bringing together the community of researchers and practitioners in the area of process systems engineering. Particular emphasis is given to contribute smart and sustainable society through a discussion on research and industrial needs, challenges and opportunities in the PSE field.
As ESTECO, we're presenting a speech in collaboration with AVEVA and IDAJ on the integration between modeFRONTIER and AVEVA Process Simulation, titled "Reduce Environmental Impact and Carbon Footprint for Cost Competitive Process Plant Design: Integrating AVEVA Process Simulation with modeFRONTIER".
In this study, we demonstrate how a given industrial process can be optimized, ensuring stable and robust operation at low total annual cost (TAC) while reducing idle time and outperforming manual work. The proposed methodology is demonstrated using a case study of an ethanol distillation process plant and integrating AVEVA Process Simulation with our multi-objective optimization software modeFRONTIER. Designers and consultants can use this methodology to aid decision-makers in the design phase to identify robust, low-cost designs that deliver preferred performance in terms of environmental impact in the future operation.
